Should everyone recycle?

Absolutely.

It is reported that up to 80% of all households have access to a local plastic recycling program and yes, your individual contrubution can make a difference.

There are a couple of things to consider when recycling plastics.

The first step is knowing what your local processor can handle. Most packaging has a number with the recycle symbol buit into the mold. This will help you determine what you should save for recycling and remember, the majority of recycling plants can all handle #1 and #2. Also, be sure to rinse the containers and remove the lid. Lids are typically made from a different plastic than the container.

This chart will help you identify some of the common items. If we all do our part, we all save.
