Bay Tech Label adds 3000sq ft. expansion

Why is Bay Tech Label, a manufacturer of tags, labels and flexible packaging, booming in St. Petersburg?

Owner of Bay Tech Label and City Council member, Karl Nurse gives his insight:

“Pinellas County has the second highest concentration of manufacturing in the State. There are 50,000 employees working at hundreds of companies within five miles from our location in the Gateway area in north St. Pete. A relatively low cost of living and vibrant culture attracts and retains a proficient workforce.”

Bay Tech Label manufactures labels for everything from beer and medical device labeling to propane tags. The Specialized Manufacturing company recently finished a 3,000 square foot expansion that includes a new solar roof and a $500,000 new generation printing press that improves quality, reduces waste and increases capacity. Bay Tech held a party for its employees to celebrate the opening of the new space.
